Gordon Lightfoot - Sunday Concert (1969)

Gordon Lightfoot is a Canadian singer-songwriter.

Gordon Lightfoot's fifth album was a live one. Sunday Concert was recorded at Massey Hall in Toronto, and released in 1969. It featured a selection of familiar and unfamiliar songs (five of them had not been released before), with backing from Red Shea (lead guitar) and Rick Hayes (bass). It was a fine record, and marked the end of his time with United Artists. In 1970 he signed a new record contract with Reprise Records, and a new era of his career began.

Truly an acoustic power trio- saw them several times, including at Massey Hall and always a class act. This was one of my favourite albums by Lightfoot, but I haven't heard it in years. Thanks for the chance...
